Unikko is a design icon. The floral pattern from 1964 looks as fresh today as ever, because good design knows no age. With Unikko (“poppy”), designer Maija Isola has succeeded in capturing the beauty of nature in a bright, cheerful pattern. Since 1964, Maija Isola’s pattern has celebrated a triumphal march through all areas: The expressive design from Finland no longer just adorns textiles. Marimekko mugs and many other accessories also benefit from the bright colors and bold shapes of the Unikko motif – including the Unikko mug with handle.

The Marimekko mug is part of the Oiva tableware series. The simple lines of the series focus on the floral pattern. At 250 ml, the Marimekko Unikko mug from the Oiva series can hold a large coffee, but of course also tea or any other drink. The Finnish manufacturer produces the designer mug from stoneware.
