Thomas Lampert
What comes out of Thomas Lampert’s smithy proudly bears the marks of archaic craftsmanship. All ironware is traditionally made in the fire with hammer and anvil. A single glance at his robust knives or pans is enough to see sparks flying.
For almost twenty years, Thomas Lampert and his team have been running two workshops in the tranquil mountain village of Guarda in the Lower Engadine. This is also where our hand-forged frying pans, bottle openers and kitchen knives are made. Every single object is indestructible and made to outlast trends. That’s why products from Graubünden are a good investment in a long-lasting kitchen inventory.
As a trained metalworker, Lampert seized every opportunity to delve further into the trade. Over the years, he has perfected his skills – both technically and creatively. He also completed master classes in restoration, monument conservation and training as a blacksmith. Thomas Lampert leads, as he himself says, “a life with metal and fire”.
