Opinel

The Opinel knife, or simply Opinel, is an inexpensive folding knife with a wooden handle that has been manufactured by the company of the same name in Savoy, France, since the end of the 19th century. The simple knife, developed for farm work, has only been slightly modified and further developed over the years in terms of function and shape. Today, it is very well known around the world and millions of them are sold. Especially in its country of origin, France, the Opinel is considered a classic of everyday culture.
