In the 2000s, the founders of Korbo discovered a forgotten basket in an old fisherman’s cottage. At that time, the art of basket making was already in the process of being forgotten, but the beauty and functionality of these baskets would not let go of the makers of Korbo. They were determined to learn the art of basket weaving. By reviving this ancient craft, they want to set an example against the use of plastic.

In 2006, they founded the company Korbo AB and started producing baskets using the technique that had already been used in 1922.
